Despite what Farage has achieved in the past year with Reform, the self-styled “people’s army” he leads, is off the charts. For decades he had influence, but it was exercised from the side. Now, with a series of opinion polls putting his party ahead of Labor and the Conservatives, he poses a serious threat to two political tribes that have passed power between them as voters see fit, for 100 years.
