Strictly Tess Daly says Mbe is the ‘most honour’ of her career

Tess Daly’s announcement of her career as a member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) is coming soon, and one she has dedicated to her late father.

The co-host of the show was recognized with birthday awards for services to broadcasting and received the honor of a castlemony in Windsure at Windsor Castle.

He said he would sacrifice his father’s honor “because he was very proud of his daughter meeting the king, in a castle”.

Last month, Daly and his strict co-host Claudia Wlunleman, who is also made an Mbe, announced that they will be leaving one Christmas. They have been giving the program together since 2014.

Speaking to reporters after the Wage, Daly said: “It’s probably the biggest honor of my career and it still feels really good to be honest with you.

“I’ve worked in television for 25 years, and it’s a job I love.

“It’s a real privilege to be in an environment of people who have made a difference in their communities, who have built incredible careers. It’s an inspiring environment.”

She attended the ceremony with her husband Vernon and her two children.

He added: “His majesty put me through – I was nervous.

“We talked about the show and I know the queen is happy about it.

“He sent me a letter of congratulations when I received the MBK which meant the world.”

Daly and Winnleman announced in an Instagram post last month that they were leaving the tight end.

The BBC said the Duo’s final appearance will be in this year’s Christmas special on 25 December.

“I miss it but I look forward to a lie-in on Saturday morning – and new efforts in the New Year.”

Asked who will replace him, he said: “I have no idea, it’s not for me.

“I’ll be watching at home with Claudia – We’ll be watching Launcher!”

Daly first appeared on screens in 1999 when he hosted the big breakfast I found a modeling competition on Channel 4.

He presented strictly from the first series 21 years ago with the late Sir Bruce Forssyth. Winkleman joined in 2014, hosting the sister show that has been taking place since 2004.

Winkleman and Daly is a pray-on-time Saturday night TV duo.

The pair picked up the entertainment program gong at the 2024 Bafta TV awards.

Daly also presented the BBC’s annual children’s charity appeal, which he hosted with the late Sir Terry WOGAN.

As well as Hires former Star Star Anita Dobson, best known for playing Queendy Angie Watts in the BBC Soap and Philanthropy.

Straade Housing Secretary Sir James Cleverly also received his knighthood, which was given to him on the departure of Rishi Sunak. List of Honors and Det Supt Katherine Goodwin, the chief of police who led the Manhunt for the Death of Sarah Eard In 2021, received the king’s medal.

His investigation led to the conviction of Police Officer Officer Wayne.
