John F Kennedy’s grandson Jack Schlossberg says he will run for the US House this year, finding on Tuesday that he is seeking the vacancy Jerry Nadry.
“This district should have a representative who can harness the creativity, energy and drive of this district and translate that into political power in Washington,” Schlossberg said in a campaign video posted on social media late Tuesday.
In an email to supporters, Schlossberg, a Democrat, said his campaign will officially launch Wednesday.
Schlossberg has a large following on social media with frequent posts weighing in on national issues, including the intentions of Brother Robert F Kennedy Jr.
Last month, he posted on Instagram an image of a Halloween costume for “Maha Man,” in reference to America’s healthy message and described it as something like measles.

The 12th district includes Manhattan’s upper west side, upper east side and midtown.
A political commentator and writer who has been published in such news as Washington, Politics and Politicians and Time Conflict in the 12th Congressional District.
His decision to run comes as Democrats hope to regain control of the House in the 2026 legislative elections that they currently lack in Donald Trump’s presidency.
“There is nothing our party can do to solve the cost of living, corruption and constitutional crisis we are in,” Schlossberg was quoted as saying in an interview with the New York Times. “But without the control of Congress, there’s nothing we can do.”
Schlossberg’s entry into congressional politics follows the meteoric rise of another young New York Millennial, Zohran Mamdani, 34, the state’s sponsor last week of Mayor of New York City.
“If Zohran Mamdani and I have anything in common, it’s that we’re both trying to be true versions of ourselves and meet people with people in New York City and talk to people,” people said, “Schlossberg told the Times.
