With a host of All Blacks Greats leaving the International Stage Since the 2023 Rugby World Cup, New Zealand are in a state of transition under Robertson.
While there are some flowing victories, such as in South Africa at Eden Park to continue their unstoppable run in Auckland for a week at Robertson’s Public Point in New Zealandson.
“Overall we had great results and we fought back from some great adversity,” Robertson explained.
“We’ve played some really good footy and exposed 20 debutants in the last two years. We’ve got a lot of guys coming through and we feel we’ve got a good foundation.”
But while it may not be a vintage all-black side, they are still ranked number two in the world and boast Wallacers superstars Ardie Sitie and Beaudly Player and Jordan behind the scrum.
And according to Robertson, the group is determined to make the most of the rare opportunity to play all four countries at home on consecutive weekends.
“It just keeps on giving,” Robertson said of the year-end tour.
“You have 13 test matches a year, and every week [is huge]. You beat all the blacks and had a great year. That’s why every team [wants the scalp].
“So you have to embrace it. How do you take all that expectation and make it fun? That’s the art of coaching.”
