Under Tuchel, England play a 4-3-3 system with wings on either side of striker Kane.
Arsenal Forward Bukayo Saka Saka is the first choice to play on the right, with Anthony of Newcycastle Gordon or Barcelona Rashord on the left.
It means there will be fierce competition for who plays behind Kane in the number 10 role, with a high-profile name potentially missing from the World Cup Squad.
Tuchel mentioned Bellingham, Rogers and Fodens as options for number 10, as well as Collea of CHELSEA’s Collea, who now has a groin injury gibbs-white, left out of the latest squad. Arsenal’s Eberechi Eberechi is another candidate in the current squad.
The German said he would never pick five number 10s in his World Cup Squad, adding: “I don’t see how it helps us.”
He said that anyone who lost could not be “because they individually did not deserve it” but because he “always does what is best for winning”.
“We always do what’s best for the balance and we try to focus on clarity, even if it means we have to take difficult decisions,” he added.
“We take tough decisions in any camp, and that doesn’t change when we go into a tournament.”
Tuchel added that he sees Foden as a hybrid between an eight and a number 10 for the city and thus “maybe in the next months he can be considered to play a role in the midfield.
England qualified for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico with two games to spare.
They host Serbia at Wembley on Thursday before traveling to Albania on Sunday.
Rogers has impressed under Tuchel, starting five and having eight of the games the German has managed – although a hamstring injury could give Serbia a chance.
