Adele is set to make her action acting debut in a new film from Tom Ford.
According to Deadlinethe Fashion Designer and Third part of the Film-Magbil-maker is an adaptation of the SIVE Novel of Anne Rice in heaven, a play set in 18th century Italy.
The singer will star alongside Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ciarán Hinds, Thandiwe Newton, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Hunter Schafer, Daryl McCormack, George MacKay, Paul Bettany and Adolescence breakout Owen Cooper. The 15-year-old, who became one of the youngest winners of a primetime emmy award for his role in the Netflix Drama, will next be seen in Netflix’s adaptation of Emerald Fennell’s waters.
The story follows two unwilling aspiring to succeed in the world of Opera: a famous Venetian and a castrated maestro from Calabria. Hoffman in the New York Times Book Alice Hoffman called It is “bold and erotic, with luxury, sexual tension, music” while Joseph Mcleellan of Washington called it “an absorption in a fascinating and little known world”.
The film will mark Ford’s third film after reprising Christopher ISHEROWNED ANEGEWOOD A man and the Dual Sayrative Nocturner Nocturner Wills Amy Adams. In 2023, Ford said that he is now more interested in film than in fashion.
“I wanted to make the two films I made,” he said A GQ Interview. “That’s the most happiness I’ve had in my whole life. I’m 62. Hopefully, I’ll stay a year making films. And it’s time to fix the game.
Crying in Heaven is in pre-production in London and Rome this year and shooting will begin in January with a release date of late 2026.
Adele who was previously rumored to be doing her acting on the death and life of John F Donovan from Xavier Dogan directed her video for Hello. “I’m sure I’ll get some flak for it, but I want to act after working with Xavier,” he said at the time. “I’m in a movie for him, sure.”
While one of Her’s songs appeared in the final cut, the singer herself did not. The film received mostly negative reviews with a 19% Rotten Tomatoes rating.
Last year, after a string of show-out shows in Munich, Adele announced that she was taking an indefinite break from music.
Screaming in the sky follows from a string of recent ANNE Rice TV Adaptations including a recent interview with the Vampire, Mayfair Witches and Tamasca.
