The chairman of the BBC, Samir Shah, said that the corporation should act immediately on the concerns about the method of showing Donald Trump.
Shah’s comments follow the launch of the broadcaster’s director general Tim Davie and CEO of Balita Debah Rebah.
The BBC has come under fire amid accusations that the documentaries misled the audience, sections of Donald from 6 January 2021 to make it clear that he is encouraging people to attack the US Capitol.
The controversial edit was highlighted in a leaked BBC memo published in the Telegraph newspaper last week.
