BBCBBC News CEO Deborah Turness says the corporation is “not institutionally biased” when it stops documenting Panorama to edit a speech by Donald Trump.
“Mistakes are made” but BBC journalists are “hardworking people who try to be impartial,” he said in his first public speech, as he left his broadcasting home in London.
Both senior and BBC Director General Tim Davie resigned on Sunday in an unprecedented move following criticism of the programme.
