The BBC has confirmed that Celebrity Traitors will be brought back for a second series on BBC One in 2026, after an excellent debut that turned out to be one of the broadcaster’s biggest entertainment hits.
It will be hosted once again by Claudia Winkleman and filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands. The partner shows celebrity trackers: the ones who didn’t come back either.
An average of 11.1 million people flocked to watch the final episode of the celebrity version of this year last week – the biggest live audience of the year for a TV show.
It was the highest overnight audience since the Gavin and Stacey Finale, which attracted 12.3 million at Christmas last year, the BBC said.
In July, the Euro victory in the Euro 2025 final had an average of 12 million people watching the match from start to finish, shared by the BBC.
The celebrity trackors finals saw trackors cats on fire and alan carr, and loyalists Joe Marler, Nick Mohusoga and David Olusoga, battle it out for a £87,500 prize for charity.
Comedian Aland Carrned was crowned the winner of the series on Thursday night after he convinced Mohammed and Olusoga that he was honest.
STUDY Economic Impact Report, Published on Monday, the Franchise Franchise – including the UK, US, and Celebrity Editions – has been proposed for an additional £21.8 million (gross value in Scotland since the start of production in 2022.
The report, gathered by the Scot in Scrotland and visiting Scotland, assured the program of supporting hundreds of local jobs and promoting the destination of the film.
Traitors, based on a Dutch format created by Marc PO, was first broadcast by the BBC in an international event around the world including Australia, Canada and Italy.
Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of BBC entertainment, said the show had “really taken the country by storm, becoming a bona fide highlight of the year”.
He added: “In 2026 the doors of the castle will be opened again to welcome the players in the game offer to see who can save the series in the first way.”
The fourth season of Traitors in the UK will also air in 2026.
