Trump says termination is ‘very close’
President Trump last night also acknowledged the progress of reporters after arriving at the White House after a week of Mar-a-Laga.
“It looks like we’re very close to closing.”
The senators took a big step toward ending the shutdown
Good morning.
We may be nearing the end of the longest government shutdown in US history, after Democratic senators faced off with their counterparts in a formal debate to keep funding federal agencies.
The shutdown has lasted more than 40 days now – affecting hundreds of thousands of federal workers and people who rely on programs like food assistance
The senators agreed to a temporary suspension of the government shutdown until January – more on that later – but in the process, it must be approved by the representatives of Donald Trump’s Desk.
That could be a week or so. However, this is one step closer to comfort.
