Ex-BBC Radio 1 and former Capital Xtra DJ Tim Westwood appeared in court for his first hearing since being charged with four counts of rape last month.
The 68-year-old was also charged with nine counts of aggravated assault and two counts of sexual assault. Three of the accounts of the infamous attack are said to have taken place in BBC studios in the 1990s.
The charges relate to seven girls, some as young as 17 years old, who alleged Slaning from 1983 to 2016.
Mr Westwood was granted bail at a hearing at Westminster magistrates court on Monday. He has not been asked to enter a plea, but he has previously denied claims of wrongdoing.
Wearing a dark gray listening shirt, he spoke to confirm his full name, address and date of birth.
He was released on bail, on the condition that he not contact the Protection Witnesses.
His case will next be heard at Southwark Crown Court on 8 December.
