Tim Davie, the director general of the BBC, is expected to resign after a former adviser to corporations accused by members of issues including Donald Trump, Gaza and Trans Rights.
In a moving move, the Guardian learned that Davie was the one who almost announced his departure. It comes as the BBC prepares to apologize for the way the broadcaster edited a speech by Donald Trump.
It follows claims by a former adviser to the broadcaster that it suffered from bias.
The culture of the Commons, the Community of Media and Sport Pelect gave the BBC a deadline of Monday to respond to the standards of Edhael acquisition Edhael guide of the Editorial Committee (EGSC). He left that role over the summer.
