The Liberal Frontbencher Andrew Bragg said that the “Fatwa” initiated against the words net zero threatened to stop in the future if the party quits the Target and withdraws from the Target in the Climent Agreement.
Bragg’s ultimatum added pressure on the leader of the opposition, Sussan Ley, ahead of a series of high-stakes meetings this week on net zero emissions.
Ahead of the meetings, the opposition’s energy spokesperson, Dan Tehan, signaled support for extending the life of coal-fired power stations – possibly with the help of taxpayer subsidies – as part of a strategy to reduce prices through “energy abundance”.
Liberal MPs will gather in Canberra on Wednesday to debate the pillars of the party’s energy platform, before the NETRA SHAME shadow ministry meets on Thursday to agree on a position.

Bragg is a group of mostly moderate liberals fighting to salvage some carbon neutrality that aren’t the only jertonists of the Scott Morrison-Era 2050 target.
This means that Ley faces an internal backlash that will increase the pressure on his leadership regardless of the position he lands.
The Guardian Australia last week reported a view among some liberals that the term “net zero”, is highly toxic in the political debate.
Asked on Sunday if Leey would have survived as leader if he had agreed with the conservatives and adopted national breaks from net zero emissions, Brog criticized the campaign against the target.
“You cannot have a fatwa in two words. This [net zero] is the international standard. I mean, trying to pretend you don’t say those two words is absolutely ridiculous,” the shadowy celebrity mom told ABC.
“Australia is part of the international community. It’s definitely not the Net Zero Accord that’s driving higher electricity prices.”
Prediction of Frontbench Resignation and the coalition’s tendency to split, too, changed as moderate liberals weigh their options when adopted by their nationalities.
Bragg pushed several times on Sunday if he would resign from the Shadow Ministry when the Liberals turned off net zero and walked away from the Paris agreement.
“Well, sure, but I don’t imagine that we will leave Paris. I mean, we are a government party, we are not a festival of the fringe,” we are not a festival of the fringe, “we said.
There is no serious talk that the coalition will deliver on following Donald Trump’s lead and withdrawing Australia from Paris.
Even the nationals did not support the takeover of Paris despite the distortion of Net Zero.

The Frontbencher said the Party is committed to delivering low energy prices through “energy efficiency”, which will require extending the life of coal-fired power stations.
He did not rule out taxpayer subsidies for fossil-fuel generation.
“Now what I’m saying is that we need to make sure that we keep the coal assets, continue to pump the coal assets, and also that we get the gases in the system faster,” he said.
