How the BBC’s Director General has responded to scandals over the years

Over the length of his career as Director of the BBC Tim Davie faced many crises including Trester Gary Lineker, Bob Vylan of Glasboner in Glaszone.

Tim Davie became director general of the BBC in September 2020. He was also director general of the BBMBE in November 2012 and April 2013.

During his first interview as Acting Director General of the BBC in 2012, he said “the BBC needs strong leadership, that’s what I want to bring”.

He stepped down after 20 years with the corporation.
