BBCA prisoner who was wrongly released in March 2024 is still at large, the BBC understands.
Another inmate who released the error in the same year is still missing, along with two others who released in June 2025.
Details of the four prisoners – released under the previous Conservative and current Labor governments – came as ministers faced growing pressure over more high-profile releases.
Two other men who were wrongly released from London’s Wandsworth prison have been returned to custody after Manheny police this week cited in late October.
Algerian Sex Offensive Brusim Kaddour-Cherif was arrested on Friday after being released on 29 Octoberwhile William Smith committed himself back to in South London Prison on Thursday.
It came later Migrant sex offender Hasush Kebatuwho arrived in the UK in a small boat, mistakenly discharged from HMP Chelmsford in Essex.
A Ministry of Justice spokesman told the BBC: “Most of the offenders who were released by mistake were quickly taken by the police to get some more out of the community.”
