Boss Rob Edwards pulled out of Middlesbrough’s game against Birmingham on Saturday amid Wolves’ interest in appointing him as their new manager.
Wolves have seen an approach to talks with Edwards rejected by Boro on Thursday and the manager is locked in talks with Championship club members on Friday.
Edwards did not hold his pre-game news conference, nor did the team’s final training session before the Birmingham game.
And now it has emerged he will not be in charge of the home championship game against the blues this afternoon.
