Television Presenter Davina McCall has revealed that she had surgery for breast cancer almost three weeks ago.
In a video posted by him Instagram accountThe comic host said he was “very upset” by the discovery but felt in a “very positive place”.
McCall, 58, said he found a lump in his chest after examining it, adding to it, so it was removed and found out that it was not removed and that it did not spread. “
The former Big Brotter Presenter thanked the medical staff at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital, where she had a lumpectomy, and urged women to check their breasts.
This comes nearly two years after MCCALL underwent surgery to remove a rare brain tumor. A colloid cyst was found in a health check-up as part of her servocacy advocacy in her menopause. McCall later said he was given the all clear after MRI scans.
McCall started his Instagram post by telling his 2.1M followers: “I’m talking about this because I think it might help someone.”
He said that he found a heavy a few weeks ago that “came and went” but urged that it was checked by women to “Check Itvs with the Masker Singer and Lorraine Show.
She said Presenter Lorraine Kelly put signs on the backs of all the doors saying ‘Check your breasts’ and “every time I go for a wee I do that”.
“This [the lump] was still there, and then one morning I saw myself in the mirror and thought ‘I’ll get the look of’. I had a biopsy. I found out it was actually breast cancer. ”
McCall said he would have five days of radiotherapy in January “as a sort of insurance policy” and then a “journey to try and stop it coming back”.
He added: “I think my message is: Get checked if you’re worried. Get yourself checked often. If you have to.”
