Keira Glasgow, the director of a health branch of Health Health, said that consumers should check their refrigerator and avoid eating any affected products, which could make them sick.
“Anyone who consumes Alfalfa sprouts should be on the lookout for symptoms, which include: headache, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting,” he said.
Symptoms usually begin 6-72 hours after exposure, and can last up to a week.
“Most people get better within a week with plenty of rest and drinking plenty of fluids such as water or an oral hydration drink from a pharmacy,” says Glasgow.
