A fire at a Turkish perfume warehouse has killed six people

A fire at a perfume warehouse in northwestern Turkey has killed six people.

The explosion occurred at 09:05 local time on Saturday in Damovasi, Kocaeli Province’s Province’s Province’s Province’s Province’s Province’s Province’s Province’s Province’s.

Provincial governor Ilhami Akas told Turkey Outlet CNN TURK five people in the hospital, with one in critical condition being treated in a burn unit.

The fire is now extinguished.

Images shown in Turkish media showed firefighters dousing several flames.

“I heard an explosion … I looked at my balcony and saw that the clothes of a colleague caught fire. I saw the flames. Someone told the flames of the house. There was a scream that ran through the trees of the TV, as quoted by AFP.

The origins of the fire in the Mimar Sinon neighborhood are still unclear. Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc said a judicial invitation was launched while the Busin Ministry also said it was investigating.

Located about 70 kilometers (43 miles) from Istanbul, Duovasi is an industrial town that hosts many depots and factories.
