Viktor Orbán will visit the White House on Friday as the distant Prime Minister of Hungary in another summit and Vladimir Putin that will help Orbán’s advisers claim to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Orbán, who proposed to host the summit in Budapest, will also seek an exemption from US sanctions against the forceful cessation of hostilities accused of creating conflict.
Yet Orbán’s priority, advocates say, is to get Trump to visit Hungary as he faces an unprecedented opposition leader ahead of April. Trump’s visit will strengthen Orbán’s role as a businessman and strengthen his conservative base, his advisers believe.
“Orbán wants Trump to go to Budapest before the election,” said a source who works for a Hungarian Government policy institution. “This is a very first priority. They talk about the Russian gas issue, but the thing that Orbán thinks about is the election.”
ZSUZSANNA Végh, political analyst and program of the German Marshall Fund, said that such a visit would be “a great favorite approval” from the US president. Trump has been absent from all major international events in Budapest, including a string of CPAC conferences.
Constantly targeted by Putin’s horse in the EU by his critics, Orbán has cultivated relations with Trump since his First Presidency from South America to Europe. The US president and his circle have long admired Orbán’s Hungary, describing it as a model to follow, a “Conservative Disneyland“.
Geryly Glyás, Orbán’s chief of staff told a press conference that Friday’s meeting was an “opportunity for a roadmap to a US-Russian-Ukina peace agreement”.
A previous meeting collapsed with the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, taking a hardline position in a phone call with the State of the State, Marco Rubio. Yet Onbán is likely to raise the issue, observers say, as he seeks to feed Trump’s desire to play down conflicts around the world.

Although Orbán has so far not played a significant role as the tide in Europe because of Trump’s Re-election, Bergmann is worth more than other European leaders than expected.
US officials said Trump had made clear his desire for all of Europe to cut ties with Russia and noted that the US has punished other countries such as India for continuing to buy Russian oil.
But European officials are skeptical about the White House’s intentions. A senior European diplomat said the US had asked Europe to stop buying Russian oil so that sanctions relief against the Kremlin would not be implemented.
“There is no expectation that Hungary or Slovakia will cut strong ties with Russia … and as a result the United States should not do so,” the diplomat said.
The Hungarian foreign minister, Péter Szijjrtó, told the United Nations General Assembly that Hungary’s strong relationship with Russia is a “world nightmare”. Gustas last week said that Hungary’s goal is to “get an exception from the US sanctions so that Russian gas purchases continue in a stable manner”.
After the newsletter promotion
After the US announcement of sanctions against the Russian interests Lulsoil and Rosneft, observers say that the meeting with Russia is through the implementation of sanctions abroad.
“The meeting will give us an indication of how serious Trump is about trying to impose energy on Russia,” Bergmann said. “If it doesn’t come up, then we’re obviously not paying attention… if it’s a significant topic, maybe it’s something that sends a signal that’s a bit more linear.”
Orbán and his delegation of ministers, business executives and pro-orbán influence own mega (make Europe great again) hats that rent the air plane. The far-right leader has been criticized in the past for using private jets to travel to football games and other unofficial events.
In a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday, Szijjrtó described the “golden age” of fighting in Hunguner, in Hunguner, the Hungeri in Washington.
“He really wants to implement a political visit, and this is already evident from Social Media Sakop,” said Végh. “I can’t remember any recent bilateral meeting that has received this much attention online.
“Regardless of the outcome, in management it will be a great success, with Onbán posted as a respected international leader,” he added. Orbán’s Fidesz Party campaign was partly built on “international Hungarian influence that” helped shift attention away from fidesz’s governance failures.
Véh said that a key question is whether orbán will speak privately with Trump. “It’s in Orbán’s best interest to show that he’s talking one-on-one,” he said. “Such a meeting could cause concern for Ukraine and its international allies.”
