Preston North Turt Forward Milutin Osmajic has been handed a nine-game ban after he was charged with abusing Burney midjri mejbal.
The incident happened during Preston’s goalless draw with Burnley in February and he will now miss their game against Stoke City on Stoke Day.
The Montenegrin was also fined £21,000.
Osmajic, who “strongly rejected” and denied the allegations filed by the Football Association in March with a hearing that took place in September.
The FA said, outside that following the hearing, a “rooted offense”, where abusive and/or insulting words were used that included references to color and/or race, was found to be proven.
In response,, outside Preston said they were “extremely disappointed” by the decision and affirmed their opposition to all forms of discrimination.
“We note that the outcome was determined on the ‘balance of probabilities’ rather than one of ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’,” the club added.
“We also note that the FA intends that this decision does not give moral judgment, does not precede the former or any comment about his general character.
“Milutin has always pleaded his innocence and continues to do so. We continue to fully support our player.”
