Celtic have banned the Green Brigade Fan Group for three home matches following “violent and threatening behaviour” during a recent game against Falkirk.
The Scottish champions released footage they said showed “around 100” supporters allegedly abusing a steward and two police officers on Wednesday, 29 October.
The alleged flashpoint came after a ticket inspection in the Rail Section at Celtic Park, the club explained.
The Green Brigade was issued a suspended sentence following compliance with “repeated serious safety and security-related violations”, with further action.
“Following the latest incident, the club can confirm that this sanction will now apply, starting from this week,” read a statement.
“The club has written to the Green Brigade Group and also to our season ticket holders regarding this incident.
“For our staff and police to be attacked in this way is completely unacceptable. This is a serious and violent incident which is unacceptable and the club has no choice in the strongest possible terms.
“Celtic Park cannot be a place for this type of behavior and the club must act in the best interests and safety of all who attend our matches.”
Footage released by the club appeared to show a group of fans streaming down a path under the stand and out of sight.
As the clip continues, more supporters rush to the front of the concourse section, before later resuming.
Police Scotland has issued an appeal for Witnesses following the incident.
“We condemn the unacceptable illness on Wednesday, 29 October, 2025, of two officials and a deputy who were attacked by fans Mark Sutherland.
“No one should be harmed or intimidated while carrying out their duties and assault is not part of the job. This type of violent behavior is unacceptable to track down those involved and hold them accountable.
“Officers and constables have been left extremely shaken and traumatized by the incident and are being offered support.
“We urge anyone with information about these attacks and disturbances to contact us as soon as possible on 101 quoting reference PS-20251029996199196 555.”
In October 2023, a section of the Green Brigade had their season tickets taken from clubs, following a “severe rush” of unacceptable behaviour.
The ban was later lifted in December after the group agreed to follow a new similar safety code.
