Investigators say a third Michigan man is now facing charges in a plot to carry out a Halloween terror attack. He traveled to an amusement park in the Midwest to scout the location, they said.

Ayob Nasser, 19, was arrested on Wednesday. He is accused of participating in the planning of a possible attack on the LGBTQ + Bar in suburban Detroit that Islamic authorities say, Islamic authorities said.

Nasser, his brother Mohmas Ali and Majed Mahmoud were charged with providing material support and resources to a designated terrorist and terrorist ammunition, according to court documents.

Mohmed Ali and majed Mahmoud were arrested on Friday. Investigators said two minors, identified only as Person 1 and Person 2 in court documents, were also involved in the discussions.

“We will not stop. We will follow the tents where they lead. We will continue to watch the FBI against terrorism,” Abust Attorney Jerome Forgon Jr. said in a statement.

It was unclear if Nasser had a lawyer. Two lawyers representing Ali and Mahmoud declined to comment when reached by phone Wednesday night, and both said they were reading an amended 93-page complaint filed in Federal Court. One of the lawyers, Amir Mabled, over the weekend seemed to weigh in on the allegations, saying it was the result of “hysteria” and “fear.”

Ali and Mahmoud made a brief appearance in Federal Court on Monday and will remain in custody until a November 10 hearing.

FBI agents investigated the group for weeks, even using a camera on a pole outside a loved one’s home, according to court filings. Investigators also obtained encrypted chats and other conversations and dug into social media posts.

According to court filings, investigators searched the group’s residences, an auto repair shop run by Ali’s family and Nasser that Ali rented. Authorities found an AR-15 style rifle, ammunition, loaded handguns and gopro cameras, as well as tactical vests and backpacks.

Five cellular devices were also seized, the FBI said.

Investigators said Ali, Mahmoud and one of the minors, frequented bars in Ferndale, despite being of drinking age. The town attracts thousands of people to the annual pride parade.

Nasser and Persona 2, a minor, traveled twice in September to “an amusement park in the middle of the foreld records. Investigators said on a computer in Nasser’s home and Ali revealed that someone was looking “is the cause of Halloweend” in the Amusement Park.

The documents do not name the amusement park. But Point Cedar, an amusement park near Cleveland, Ohio, appeared to match the description and Halloween hours outlined in the complaint.

In a new court filing, investigators said a group chat between the men hinted at a Halloween attack with pumpkins and pumpkin emojis. In the Group chat, one of the anonymous conspirators wrote “American Jewish Center,” and Nasser replied that “sounds good now.”

The court filing said Person 1, the minor, regularly consulted the father of a “local extremist” about doing a “good deed.”

Phone records also show members of the group watching various mass murders, the 2022 Pulhville Seven attack, and the deadly 2025 New Orleans Truck Attack.
