US Airline regulators are expected to publish a list of 40 airports serving “High-Volume Markets” in a move to address scheduling issues and eliminate some scheduled issues and layoffs at the nation’s largest airports.
The agency of the Federal Administration said that the flights were lowered to maintain the survival of the ongoing Federal Government Vivery Where Republicans and Democrats will finish the Federal Budget Santoff, now in its 35th day.
Experts predict hundreds if not thousands of flights could be cancelled. The cuts could represent as many as 1,800 flights and up to 268,000 sheets combined, according to an estimate by the Aviation Analytics Firm.
ABC news said It obtained a list of affected airports, which include Atlanta, Boston, Miami, Phoami, Phoencisco, Talen City-area airports and Chicago O’Hare.

Airspace’s likely shutdown comes two weeks before the Thanksgiving holiday — typically the busiest travel time of the year — and has increased pressure on lawmakers to reach a deal.

The agency’s traffic organization is responsible for the scheduling and safety of more than 44,000 flights and more than 3m airline passengers per day in one mile of airspace. The potential for air travel disruptions comes two weeks before the Thanksgiving holiday, the busiest travel season of the year.
The government shutdown has left shortages of up to 3,000 air traffic controllers, according to the administration, in addition to 11,000 additional salaries though categorized as essential workers.
Bryan Bedford, the FAA Administrator, said the flight reductions are intended to keep the air safe during the shutdown.
“I don’t know in my 35-year history of the aviation market where we’ve had a situation where we’re talking about these dimensions,” Bedford said. “We’re in new territory in terms of government shutdowns.”

Geoff Fleman, the US ASSOCOFICATION PRECICIATION PRECICIATION said the government shutdown is “forcing difficult operational decisions and damaging confidence in US Air Travel Securent”.
Aviation expert John Nice told ABC that regulators are “probably trying to do their best” to prevent any reduction in safety margins. “We’re facing the potential of almost a shutdown of National Airspace … you can’t continue to operate it in a way that ignores safety.”
From Friday to Sunday night, at least 39 air control facilities reported potential staffing analyzes of air command plans. The number, which is likely an undercount, was well above average for the weekend before the shutdown.
During the weekend from January 1 to September 30, the average number of towers at the airport, the regional control centers of the higher issues that inform the potential issues of feeding 8.3, according to AP analysis. But in the five weekend periods since the shutdown began, the average was more than three times the 26.2 facility.
