The New York Post’s “on your Marx, get set, zo!” The front page published hours after Democratic Socialist Mamdani Mamdani’s New York Mayor race proved a viral hit, with An eBay seller A single copy sold for $355 shortly after it was listed for auction.
The Post’s 5 November front page, with the “Red Apple” headline showing Mamdani holding a Soviet-style soly and sickle also sold in the newspaper Like a $75 metal print. Unfortunately – given the correct opposition to the registry of Rupert Murdoch owned by the mayor-elect, it proved a hit to the supporters of Mamdani.
The paper reported that left-leaning voters found news for copies, which quickly sold out of the edition.
“Artwork is Genius. It’s an amazing factor,” Mamdani supporter of Ben D said to the outlet. He said he and a friend went to about a dozen Delis in Brooklyn to find a copy but they were already sold.
“We love Zohran,” he said. “I think it’s a very important moment in our lives. It’s amazing to have a role to capture this moment in time.”
The owner of the deli, Aaron Salem, told the outlet that copies were sold within an hour of opening at 6am and that his phone was “ringing off the hook with calls asking for copies.
“There are like 100 people here today asking for it. About 30 people asked asking if we’re on it,” Salem said, also praising the issue, calling it “amazing”.
At least one thrift store in the popular Brooklyn-Stinythynt section of Mamdani’s has put up a “ny post” for sale sign, according to a Photo Posted by X.

The decidedly pro-capitalist post shows profit from covering Mamdani while still agreeing with Mamdani’s plans to fund free city services such as free public buses and public care.
In a critique of the mayor-elect’s sharp speech in the ecidding Post editorial writer Michael Goodwin As On Thursday that it “should serve as a belated alarm to business and political leaders who play with him in the belief that there is a reasonable person who can be charming in cooperation”.
