The British military has announced the first delivery of Ajax armored vehicles, eight years behind schedule and amid their relevance to the battlefields of Ukraine.
The Junior Defense Minister Luke Pollard said that the first 50 vehicles, which cost almost the problems of the Far East in the years of 2017, 2021 and 2021 were all missed.
“There are a lot of lessons for us to learn,” Pollard said at an Ajax production site in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. AJAX took “many, many years to contract … and we had to cut that down [to] Just a few months”, he added.

Demonstrations of Ajax, on a short drive to the manufacturing site, revealed that it was still slow, although not obviously excessive. A dual layer of protection, ear plugs and protectors, will further help improve safety, military sources said.

Long-term delays have led Ajax to emerge in the fourth year of the war in Ukraine, where tanks and armored vehicles have failed to achieve significant gains for either side.
