US Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi says she will see her term end in January 2027.
Pelosi announced her departure in a video message, after nearly four decades in the House of Representatives.
It also marks the end of a neglected political career: Pelosi, 85, served as the first woman speaker of the house and led her party in the lower chamber of Congress from 2003 to 2023.
The San Francisco Democrat is also considered the political advocate of politics. He has helped force past – President Joe Biden’s move on questions about his mental skills, leading to the ill-fated candidacy of Kamala Harris.
