In September 2024, Pochettino gave the challenge of leading the United States in a world cup that they will host in Canada and Mexico.
It’s not all plain sailing though.
Pochettino has won 11 of his 20 helmet matches and defeats to the likes of Mexico (Panama, Turkey, Switzerland and South Korea who made criticism.
He also said dealing with issues of cultural change, outside and thought of his players and was not happy about arriving at home matches only to find that the visiting supporters significantly more than, outside American fans.
And all this comes as he attributes the various demands placed on an international boss.

The United States has only reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup on one occasion, in 2002.
MLS was formed in 1995, a year after the US hosted the 1994 World Cup, and has grown and grown with the arrival of Lionel Messi in 2023 as evidence of a changed landscape.
