The Duke of Sussex says that “Bantin” in Pubs and sports grounds and a humble spirit of “self-improvement” are among the things he loves about Britain and what he thinks of British Culture.

Although he lives in California in the US, Prince Harry said that “Britain is, and always will be, the country I am proud of”.

He shared his thoughts in an essay published ahead of the commemoration events, with the Prince visiting Canadian military veterans this week.

Prince Harry, who served in Afghanistan, called on people not to forget the contributions of veterans who may need help “once the uniform comes”.

The essay, which does not mention the scandal surrounding his uncle Andrew The Backbat Windsor, looks at: “What it means to be British.”

He wrote: “The banter in the mess, the clubhouse, the pub, the stands – funny as the things that make us. I have no apologies.

Prince Harry also wrote about attracting encouragement from Ukrainians in their fight against the Russian invasion.

“There’s a similar stoic spirit of self-possession and humor in Ukrainians, which I recognize more than anyone, in US Brits,” he said.

Prince Harry, who runs the Invictus games for wounded men and women, urged people to remember “those who bear the weight of war in body and mind, and the families who remember in their hearts”.

This week will see the annual commemoration events, including the Cenotaph ceremony in Whitehall on Sunday.

“Remembrance is not about the glorious war. It is about recognizing its cost: the lives changed forever and the lessons paid,” Prince Harry wrote.

“It’s also about honoring the people who, knowing the cost, still chose to serve.”

ESSAY appeared as her brother Prince William was in Brazil for his world awards.

Prince Harry, who moved to the US more than five years ago, recently spoke on a podcast about his cultural experience.

Host Hasan Minhaj asked him: “What’s the most American thing you’re doing right now?” to which Harry replied: “Surf.”

But Harry said he did not adopt other behaviors, such as drinking strong beer or wearing shorts in a restaurant.

In the Podcast Prince Harry also warned of the dangers of social media for young people.
