Last year, GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia SAY at a white nationalist event organized by Holocaust Denier Nick Fuentes cause Republican leaders to criticize him.

Last week, Greene’s Twitter Account temporarily suspended via Elon’s captioning platform at the head of a tweet A graphic referring to a “Trans Day of Manimence,” as he criticized a planned transgender rights rally.
And go on tuesday, greene plans were announced To protest in New York City as former President Donald Trump is expected to plead guilty to a 30-count indictment, calling the proceedings against him a “Understitutional Witle Hunt!”
But on Sunday, Greene appeared on CBS’ “60 Minutes” in an interview the long-running show promoted on Twitter. with a tease: “Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, not afraid to share her opinions, no matter how extreme and in-your-face. She sits down with Lesley Stahl this Sunday on 60 Minutes.” The images included in this Tweet by “60 Minutes” include Greene and Stiahl walking around the US Capitol, walking outside and Greene showing something on his phone.
In the part that has dawn on Sunday night, Stiahl explained to the congressman had moved from the fringe to the GOP’s front row in two years despite a “sharp tongue” and “some pretty radical views” as well as “over the top” comments such as “the Democrats are a party of pedophiles.” Stahl also pointed to the video of Greene being chased in a park, Florida, School Shooting Survivor, who kept the 2020 election rigged and failed to criticize Trumping. (The interview was conducted before the news of his candidacy.)
But Stahl did not mention Greene speaking at a white nationalist event a year while a member of Congress or his dismissal of the January 6 rioters.
Criticism of CBS for nurturing Greene in the past Swift and good fit even before the program is run. Former GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois tweet before: “Wow. It’s not crazy that 60 min will do this.” (Kinzinger is a CNN Senior Political Commentator.)
journalist Molly Jong-Fast too “60 minutes” Tweet: “Attention is money and 60 minutes is spending money on Jewish laser women.” (Jong-Fast is obviously referring to Greene’s past claim That a huge wildfiria wildfire was started by “a laser” suppressed from the space controlled by a prominent Jewish banking family.)
David Hogg, who survived the 2018 horrific school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Hous High School in Parkland and previously became an activist Against gun violence, ANSWERED“I look forward to your questions about why he thinks school shootings are fake and why he supports Qanon.”
Greene raised the conspiracy theory – Two years before being elected to Congress – that the parkland shooting that took 17 lives was set up. And in 2019, Greene appeared on video confronting Hogg outside the Capitol when he was championing laws to save lives from gun violence, shouting that the teenager was a “coward.” He also called Hogg “#littlehusller” on social media.
Greene’s own Tweet Highlighting Sunday’s segment wasn’t filled with his typical smears of “fake news” when he didn’t like the coverage. Instead, Greene urged people to tune in as he praised “60 Minutes” host Stahl (and misspelled his name): “It was an honor to spend a few days with the talented crew @ 60minutes.” Adds Greene, “Leslie is a trailblazer for women in journalism. And while we disagree on some issues, I respect her greatly.”
Now, it’s actually “60 minutes” on top of it 50-year history Shows what the show shows”controversial“Guests. It includes a 2000 interview with the Oklahoma City bomber Timothy Mcveighwhose 1995 terrorist attack left 168 dead, including 19 children. And the show did a 1979 interview with Iran’s Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
Maybe “60 minutes” look at Greene – who is often underestimated and even DEFENDS January 6, 2021, attack Plus calls for the GOP to become the party of “Christian nationalism” – at the root of its long list controversial guests. (CBS did not respond to a request from CNN for comment by the time of publication.)
However, the choice of Greene as a guest immediately remembered Comments In the then-CBS CEO LESS: in the 2016 Presidential Campaign in 2016 when he admitted that Trump’s candidacy “is not good for America, but it is bad for CBS.” More on Moonves“The money goes around and it’s fun. …
Months may be gone from CBS, but it appears his mind is still on “60 Minutes.” And that might be good for “60 Minutes,” but it sure isn’t good for America.
