Sixteen-year-old Mcintintosh broke the world record for the 400m individual medley on Saturday in Canada’s 400m freestyle.
McINTosh finished the 400m individual medley in a time of 4:25.87, breaking the 2016 Rio Olympics mark of Hossarian Slowmer Hosszú with a time of 4:26.36.
The result continued the teenager’s brilliant week after he broke the 400m freestyle World Record on Tuesday in 3:56.40, which was eventually set in 3:56.0.0.0.0.0.08.
Speaking of his latest victory, Mcintintosh shared his emotions.
“That was the first time I clearly heard people in my race,” Mcintosh said, each Rabae.
“It was amazing to have all my family and friends in the stands, cheering me on. It really helped me in the last 100 meters.”
The Canadian teenager made her Olympic debut aged 14 at Tokyo 2020, where she finished fourth in the 200-metre freestyle.
