The Ukrainian military reported little change in the front lines but heavy fire from Russian forces in various parts of the front line in the Donetsk region.

The general staff said that more than 45 enemy attacks were repelled the previous day, focusing on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdivka and Mariinka and Mariinka.

It is said to have 17 air strikes and more than 20 strikes through multiple rock launch systems.

“In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy intends to control the entire city of Bakhmut and it will continue to storm,” said the General Staff.

In the west of the city, the defense forces of Ukraine repelled about 20 enemy attacks, according to the general staff.

Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the ground forces of Ukraine, posted on Telogram that in Bakhmut he met with “soldiers and commanders who destroyed the myth of Wagner fighters and Russian Paratroopers and Russian Paratroopers.”

Syrskyi pointed to the possibility of a future counter-offensive, saying that “the forward movement of our entire army depends on what every soldier does now on their part of the front.”

Some of the heaviest fighting is in the northwest and west of the city of Donetsk – as the Russians continue their day-long efforts to retake Avdivka and Mariinka. The general staff said that about 20 attacks were repelled.

“There were also some successes in the operation of our military in the Donetsk area. Our military took some positions.

He also mentioned that Russian special forces have been introduced to the area.

“The enemy intends to attack our positions between Avdivka and Marinka. These attempts will not stop. It should be noted that the enemy has suffered significant losses,” said Dytrashkivskyi.

He also admitted that the Russians “do not have the same amount of equipment and, as they themselves say, they are on a ‘diet’ of ammunition in attacks.”

Video on Social Media shows the two sides fighting heavy fire in the Avdivka area, which is surrounded by the Russians on three sides.

Denis Pushilin, the leader of the self-declared people of Donetsk People, claims that the Russian forces are still moving in the direction of Avdivka.

“It is still talking about the excavation, but the situation is made, if not critical, then very difficult in the weather conditions.
